Robert Hunt

Robert Edward “Rob” Hunt, 60, passed away on June 24, 2026. Born on October 24, 1965, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Rob was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and gentle spirit. To those who knew and loved him, he was truly a gentle giant whose warmth and humor left a lasting impression.

Rob dedicated 28 years of service to LongHorn Steakhouse, where his passion for his craft earned him the distinguished honor of Grill Master. He took great pride in his work and was respected by his colleagues for his skill, dedication, and friendship.

Rob was preceded in death by his father, Louis V. Hunt.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Barbara Jean Hunt; his brother, Louis “Wade” Hunt (Terri); and his cherished niece, Marissa Ann Hunt. He also leaves behind his devoted life partner, Sandi Hausman; her son, Craig (Drea); daughter, Kendra Dillinger; and granddaughter, Nora, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Rob is also survived by his uncles, Avery Johnson (Lelia) and Andrew Johnson (Brenda); his aunt, Sandra Jones; and 11 beloved first cousins, along with many extended family members, friends, and coworkers who will deeply miss him.

Rob’s kindness, generous heart, and infectious sense of humor touched countless lives. Whether sharing a laugh, lending a helping hand, or preparing a perfectly grilled meal, he made people feel welcome and cared for. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. delivering the eulogy and Rev. Dr. G.R. Hill officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
