Ophelia Ball

Ophelia Rosalee King Ball age 93 early Saturday morning August 22, 2026 went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family at her home in Cleveland, TN. She was a graduate of College Hill High School and was known for her winning smile and great laugh.

Ophelia Rosalee King Ball was born to Phado and Laura King, on October 1, 1932 in Etowah, TN., in a household of eleven siblings.

In 1952 Ophelia was married to Clifford Ball Jr. of Chattanooga, TN. Her only child, Andre Ball, Sr., was born 1953 with a legacy of four grandchildren to cherish her memories, Andre A. Ball Jr., Ryan A Ball, Kimetia A. Ball and Abrenda O. Ball, as well as two sisters remaining to continue the family story, Lizzy King and Linda Constance Smart.

Ophelia also leaves to cherish her memory 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren. She also has a special step- son San Tederra, Lydia Harris of Annistion, Ala, and their children, and a multitudeof nieces and nephews.

Ophelia was well loved by family and friends in Waterbury, CT., as well.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Cleveland, TN, with Rev. Dr. Mattie Benton delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
