Nadine Walker

Nadine Walker, age 78, of Athens, Tennessee, died Monday, July 20, 2026 in a Knoxville hospital. A native of Athens, TN, she attended J.L.Cook School and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a lover of good music and a great cook. 

She was preceded in death by parents, Tom Walker & Virginia Walker, and a son, Anthony Tyrone Henry, guardians Mildred Walker and Dorothy Morgan. 

Survivors include son, Kadia Henry (Lisa) of Athens, TN, life partner, Ronnie "Cotton" Upton, two grandchildren, Mahlia Gentry, Alliyah Devore, and special friends, Betty Ann Scruggs, O'Dean Jonkins, Barbara Miller, and many other friends. 

Family will receive friends Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 12:00 noon with the funeral to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at M.D.Dotson & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Service- Athens. Rev. Vant Hardaway officiating, with the interment at Hammonds Cemetery, Athens, TN.
