Deyshawndee Townes

Deyshawndee Dulsey (Shawn) Townes, 45, left his earthly body on May 22, 2026 to go home to meet the Lord. Everyone that knew Shawn, knew that he was a kind and gentle soul with a good heart. He loved his children with everything in him. He went to Joy Christian Fellowship Church. He served as an active member of the US Army from 1999-2003. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.He was a graduate of Cleveland High School class of 1999. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his step-father Walter Brown. He leaves to mourn him: his two children D'Andre Taylor and Tallulah Townes, his mother Josephine Brown, his father Terry Gash, brother Alfred Townes, sister Dynisha Meyers, a special friend Chenoa Coppedge and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home
