Cory Germaine Pratt, born November 6, 1980, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026. He was the husband of the late Samantha Quintana Pratt, and the father of Tavaun, Keandre and Cal-el Pratt. He was born to the late Cleophas Pratt and Sharon Dukes and from his early years, raised by his legal guardians and grandparents, Dr. C. C. Pratt and Anna L. Pratt.

Cory was born in Rockledge, Florida, but at a very early age he, along with the rest of the family, relocated to Cleveland, Tennessee where he attended school and became a 1999 graduate of Cleveland High School. Shortly after graduation, he met the love of his life, Samantha Pratt, and they spent 17 years together as they built their family. Married on January 22 nd , 2005, Cory and Samantha welcomed their three sons, Tavaun, Keandre and Cal-el, into their lives. They later relocated to Cocoa, Florida, where he resided until February of this year when Cory and two of his boys decided to move back to Tennessee following the passing of their beloved Samantha.

As a young boy, Cory could be found accompanying his grandfather (Pa), as he traveled around preaching and evangelizing in many churches across the nation. It was during this time that Cory developed a deep love for God and His work. Coming from a musical family, as he grew older and entered into his teenage years, his love for music first led him to playing the drums at his local church, and later on as an adult he discovered his God-given talent of playing the keyboard for praise teams and choirs wherever he was needed in both Tennessee and Florida. Cory’s love for music became the driving force in his life. In every situation, whether it was sad times, good times, painful times or any other occasion, Cory would find comfort, strength and joy in playing uplifting gospel songs.

Cory was a devoted father, who loved his boys dearly. He enjoyed spending time with them, travelling with them, attending sporting events or just sitting down to a good meal together as a family. He was very supportive of their education, showed great interest in their talents, and took pride in their achievements. After his many years as a “boy dad”, Cory was blessed with a beautiful daughter-in-law, Naomi, and a precious granddaughter, Serena. Cory was truly a family man, one who loved his family dearly.

Cory Pratt is survived by his sons: Tavaun Pratt in Massachusetts, Keandre and Cal-el Pratt in Tennessee; daughter-in-law: Naomi and granddaughter, Serena in Massachusetts; grandparents/guardians: Dr. C. C.Pratt and Anna Lou Pratt in Florida; Aunt: Dian Pratt in Florida; Uncle: Claudius Pratt II (Jae Pratt) in Tennessee; biological mother: Sharon Dukes in Florida; mother-in-law: Angie Quintana Rodriguez; sister-in-law: Heavenly Rodriguez; as well as several cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Samantha Pratt; father: Cleophas Pratt; Aunts: Janet Pratt and Trudy Pratt; Uncles Donald Pratt and Samuel Pratt.

Cory was a very lovable person and will truly be missed.
