Clinton Ray Moore

Clinton Ray Moore 65 of Niota, TN passed away in his home, Friday September 5,2025. He worked as a landscaper in the Niota area. He was a genuine loving man to everyone who came across his path. He enjoyed playing chess, working on cars and spending time with family and friends.

Clinton a.ka. "clock" to many is preceded in death by his parents father James E. Moore, mother Mattie Grace Bradley Smith, sister late Ester Marie Moore, and nephew Massio Looney.

He leaves behind a daughter Rayven McDermott, a nephew whom he raised as his own Shaquille Moore, three grandchildren Jaquarius McDermott, Courtaneigh McDermott and Joshua McDermott, two great grandchildren Jeremiah McDermott and Ya'shaun McDermott a grandchild in love Syntasia Mcspadden, three sisters Sharon Bradley, Tonya McDermott and Rebecca Moore, a special brother Patton Moore, threenieces Martina Henry, Kameisa Sharp and Tomah Parris two nephews Jules Moore and Dewayne Graves a great niece Delisha Graves a great nephew Jamal Graves and four special friends Pharriest Seay of Lebanon, TN, David Barkley of Sweetwater, TN Marvin Wilkerson of Athens, TN and Sherry Mcspadden of Sweetwater,TN. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Athens, TN with minister Mae Hammonds officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Lanetown Cemetery in Niota, TN.
